Before you apply

Loan Requirements and Guidelines

Everything to prepare before you apply at SGB Lending in Antipolo — the documents we need, when a co-maker or collateral is required, and the terms and policies that govern your loan. Clear and in writing, so there are no surprises at signing.

General requirements

For most applications, prepare the following:

  • Application Form
  • ID Picture
  • Income Tax Return — 2 years
  • Registration of Business Name, if engaged in business
  • Residence Certificate (Cedula), current year

Specific loan types call for additional documents — see the per-loan requirements below.

Guidelines

  • Your capacity to pay is established first, before any loan is approved.
  • Two co-makers are required for all clean (uncollateralized) loans, regardless of the amount.
  • Collateral is required for loans in excess of ₱50,000.
  • Maturity of loans with lump-sum payments cannot fall on non-banking days (weekends and holidays).

Requirements by loan type

Real Estate Mortgage — Sangla Titulo

In addition to the general requirements: Original Title (TCT/OCT), current Tax Declaration, Realty Tax Receipt (current year), Tax Clearance, Location Plan with Vicinity Map, insurance policy of improvements endorsed to SGB Lending, and pictures of improvements if any. Agricultural land also needs an Affidavit of Non-Tenancy and D.A.R. Clearance. Only titled land is accepted, all owners must be present at signing, and every property is inspected and appraised. Maximum loanable amount is up to 35% of the property’s market value.

Chattel Mortgage — Sangla OR/CR

General requirements plus the original OR and CR in the borrower’s name and the vehicle itself for inspection and appraisal. The loanable amount follows the appraised value of the vehicle.

Business & Market Vendor Loan

General requirements plus business registration documents. Clean loans need two co-makers; amounts above ₱50,000 require collateral. Clients in good standing for six months may roll over or re-avail under set conditions.

OFW & Seafarer Loan

General requirements plus employment documents (contract and, where applicable, agency/POEA papers or proof of seafarer engagement), IDs of the borrower and allottee, and proof of income or remittance history.

Personal & Emergency Loan

General requirements plus proof of employment and income; two co-makers are required for the clean loan. An Emergency Loan Facility through USSD (G-Xchange / GXI from Globe) is available for faster small-amount access, subject to qualification.

Service policies

Pre-termination

Pre-termination is full payment of the loan before its maturity date. Pre-terminations are not subject to a rebate of unearned interest. For full settlement, the amount due is the Maturity Value (for lump-sum loans) or the installment amount multiplied by the number of installments still payable.

Re-availment, roll-over, and overlapping availment

Re-availment is taking a new loan after the previous one is fully paid. A roll-over extends a loan at maturity for another period with only the charges paid. An overlapping availment is a second loan taken while a first is still outstanding. To qualify, you must have been a client for at least six months with no past-due experience, and specific conditions apply by payment type (lump-sum, weekly/semi-monthly/monthly, or daily installments). Total exposure must never exceed your loan ceiling.

Requirements – common questions

What documents do I need to apply?

The general requirements are an application form, ID picture, Income Tax Return for 2 years, business name registration if you’re in business, and a current-year Residence Certificate. Each loan type adds a few specific documents, listed above.

When do I need a co-maker or collateral?

Clean (uncollateralized) loans require two co-makers regardless of amount. Collateral is required for any loan above ₱50,000.

Can I pay off my loan early?

Yes, you can pre-terminate. Note that early full payment is not subject to a rebate of unearned interest — the settlement amount is the maturity value or the remaining installments, depending on your loan.

Can I borrow again or extend at maturity?

If you’ve been a client for at least six months with no past-due history, you may roll over or re-avail under set conditions, provided your total exposure stays within your loan ceiling.
